Known internally as a Senior People & Culture Generalist, this onsite role in Sofia, Bulgaria, offers the chance to contribute to exceptional customer experiences while being part of a company celebrated for its outstanding culture. The People & Culture Team plays a vital role in adding value by continuously seeking innovative ideas and embracing challenges to enhance employee satisfaction. What your role will involve:
People & Culture Generalists act as the primary resource for all people-related matters within their assigned business group or functional unit. You will manage employee relations issues, provide guidance and training on benefits and programmes, handle termination and performance processes, and offer personalised coaching to leaders on all human capital matters. You will also report concerns affecting employee morale to service delivery leaders and collaborate with the team to resolve these issues. A key part of your role will be fostering an environment of openness and trust within your areas of responsibility, requiring adaptability in communication to suit diverse employees and management styles.
A typical day includes:
Partnering with team leaders, managers, and a wide range of stakeholders across Bulgaria to deliver an outstanding employee experience
Addressing and resolving employee relations matters promptly, aiming for resolution within 48 hours
Creating a welcoming and approachable atmosphere for employees to raise questions, ideas, or concerns
Driving improvements in key success metrics related to employee engagement and satisfaction
Ensuring strict adherence to all local human resources laws and regulations
Leading confidential investigations concerning employee performance, harassment allegations, and potential termination proceedings
Ensuring the timely and accurate update of employee data in the Oracle database to support appropriate administration of employee benefits, payroll, and programmes
What you will bring:
At least three years of experience in human resources or related functions
Solid understanding of Bulgarian employment legislation and regulatory requirements
A transparent, empathetic, and honest approach when engaging with people
Strong customer service focus
Familiarity with database applications such as Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Office, or the aptitude to quickly acquire new technical skills
High level of integrity, honesty, and judgement, with strong attention to detail and a desire to follow procedures
Ability to act as a trusted advisor to both leaders and employees during complex situations
